Duck Pond in the backyard!

So, it's raining right now, and Gracie and I are loving it! About half an hour ago, it was really coming down, and now our backyard is pretty much flooded, with the garden area (I use "garden" loosely, because it has not grown anything in at least 8 months) covered in 3-4 inches of water. Anyway, Gracie is fascinated by the rain and keeps grabbing my arm to "shew me" (she's a scriptorian, dontchaknow?) the "waller" (water) outside. Then, a few minutes ago she said, "Momma, look...duckpond!" She is grateful for the duck pond left in our backyard. I only hope she's not too disappointed when ducks fail to show up (since I haven't seen any in a couple of months). That's all--just had to record for posterity!
