It's Gracie!

I feel guilty for not updating this blog in a while, so I went through the pictures from the last few months and found some of my favorites of Grace to post. She's such a sweet little girl and keeps us laughing every day! Here goes (these are in order from most recent to least recent--I'm too lazy to move them)!

Daddy can't believe how quickly his tiny baby has grown into a big girl! (Sept. 11, 2009)

Having fun in Papi's little boat at the lake

Posing at the lake with a life jacket, which we wear to "keep us safe" (in her words)

She insisted she wasn't tired and wanted to watch a movie. Hmmm...

Making sure Katie's carseat is safe

Her "little crib"

Celebrating Daddy's birthday at the family party

Just chillaxin'

Watching "teebee" with Dad

Drawing with sidewalk chalk

Silly girl!

Playing with her friend Kaiya (watching "Charlotte's Web")

Whenever she has something on her head, she says she's "getting married"; I just hope she wears more than panties and a blanket when that special day really does come... ;)

Having a tea party/tea picnic - she knows how to set everything up all by herself!

Playing "police cars" with Daddy (it's a racing/crashing game on PS2)

She found her snow hat and had to try it on (in July, no less). For about 2 weeks after this picture was taken, she asked multiple times a day if we could go to the snow. We tried and tried to convince her that the snow was all melted. We finally compromised and told her that when we have a Christmas tree, then there will be snow and we will take her on a snow trip. :)

Having a tea picnic with Nana

Enjoying the fun "flip-flop" cookie that Nana bought for her--isn't it cute? :)

Grace, Mom, and Katie at the beach (in San Francisco--that's why we're not swimming!) The high that day was 58 degrees, even though it was the end of July!

Dad & Gracie at the beach

This is how she fell asleep in the car on the way to San Francisco--look at those sweet little hands!

We call this picture "takin' care of business"! (taken during potty training time--we no longer have a potty chair in our living room, thank heavens!)

We went outside to get in the car one day and saw all these ducks crossing the street--Gracie was fascinated!

We both had to get blood tests done on the same day--no fun, but at least we had matching "owies". (Note: Gracie only thinks it's a bad owie if there's a band-aid on it--once we took her band-aid off, she was fine, but while it was on, she wouldn't use her arm at all!)

Just adorable!

Enjoying Grandma Nelson's visit at the beginning of July

Her last picture as a 2-year-old (evening of July 4, 2009)

Look at the "temple" she made with the "books" (i.e. Disney VHS cases)

Worn out after a fun-filled day of playing with Nana, Papi, and Uncle J (June 27, 2009)

So cute!

Veggin' in front of the TV

I wish she would just learn to relax! ;)

I love this happy face!

Such a good little mommy!

Again, just relaxing... (June 19, 2009)

We are so in love with our big 3-year-old and can't imagine life without her! We can't wait to see how she'll welcome Katie into our home and what a big helper she becomes. Just yesterday, Dave was lamenting the fact that Gracie's "solo reign" at our house is almost over, but I think she'll still have control over our hearts no matter how many children we have. Thanks, Grace, for being the best "first child" we could've ever asked for. We love you!
